Reviews for Terraza Don diablo
Review highlights
Based on 207 reviewsTerraza Don Diablo is widely praised for its stunning rooftop location overlooking Valladolid’s main square, offering a trendy and atmospheric setting popular among both tourists and locals. The venue’s cocktails receive positive mentions, and the friendly, attentive service enhances the overall experience. However, reviews of the food are mixed, often described as average with a limited menu and inconsistent quality, sometimes perceived as overpriced. Some guests note minor service delays and recommend improvements such as providing physical menus due to spotty WiFi. Additionally, the hidden speakeasy “Almacén” adds a unique and well-regarded nightlife dimension, making the venue a multifaceted destination for drinks, views, and entertainment.
Best (only?) Trendy rooftop terrace bar to have drinks in Valadolid over looking at the main square. The place is apparently well known by tourists, at the entrance they start to filter by asking that you consume food and not only drinks. Cocktails ans food are good, price aligned to big western cities
We had a great time there because of the good cocktails we had, and the rooftop is so nice. Also, the service is so friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, the food was not good. I tried glazed chicken burgers and that was so disappointing and at the end expensive.
If all you want is a great view and some drinks this is the place! It has an amazing view of the plaza. The food was just ok and has a limited menu. The service was slow and we waited a bit for our food. We tried burgers, black seafood pasta, guacamole, and arrachera steak. The burger bun tasted not so good and maybe a bit old. The pasta had octopus that was not cooked properly so we left it out. I wouldn't come back!
Great food and service ( had a sirloin burger as we wanted a break from tacos etc after a couple of weeks in Mexico). Really nice location on roof overlooking main church and a nice breeze blowing which is a great perk in July. I think they should have a physical menu rather than QR code especially when the WiFi is not perfect. I reckon our gin and tonics were pretty weak to the point I asked if it had gin in it (maybe too much ice and tonic?). And the music kept skipping and distorting which was irritating. But these elements didn’t affect the experience much - just makes it a 4 rather than 5 star review.
The real surprise of the night here was discovering the hidden speakeasy called “Almacén”. Ask your server about it—you’ll be led through a discreet door right next to the lobby of the Hotel into a completely different world. The sound system in Almacén is next-level, the kind you feel in your chest, and the music selection was perfectly curated. The vibe and decor feel like a deep tribute to the soul of Valladolid—warm, creative, a bit mysterious, and full of personality. 10/10—if you’re visiting Valladolid, this place is a must. Come for the cocktails, stay for the secret experience. -Terraza: My wife and I had an unforgettable night at Terraza Don Diablo. We started with a Gava Ging—an absolutely incredible cocktail that quickly became a new favorite. I ordered a mezcal with orange, which was smooth, smoky, and perfectly paired with the relaxed rooftop vibe. The rooftop itself is beautiful, offering a great view and a laid-back atmosphere. Service was excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive.
A trendy rooftop bar with great drinks and tasty food. The music was good not overly loud so you can have a conversation while taking in the night scenery of the city. The prices align with western prices so this is more of a tourist spot. Before you enter and walk up the stairs the restaurant attendant will ask if you made a reservation which honestly is annoying especially when you enter the rooftop and there are empty seats.
A great dining experience. The staff is friendly, and our waiter Alex is kind and great to have for our rooftop dinner. The food tastes amazing! Quite delicious as well as the dessert is delectable! Definitely recommend when in Valladolid. Fine dining at its finest ⭐
Amazing location and great atmosphere (and cool bar). It’s a bit pricey but would highly recommend if you’re looking for a rooftop for an appetizer/ cocktail.
